Plastic Recycling Amsterdam
Umincorp is a founding partner in Plastic Recycling Amsterdam, a joint venture with Milieu Service Nederland. At the port of Amsterdam, our disruptive plastic recycling process is running at an industrial scale, recycling over 25,000 tons of plastic packaging per year. Derived from the household waste of 1 million inhabitants, this plastic is sorted, shredded and washed. After that, it undergoes our Magnetic Density Separation process. The result is accurately sorted PP, HDPE and PET flakes ready for recycling.
Colour sorting and compounding in Rotterdam
Our newest facilities in Rotterdam process PET, HDPE and PP flakes produced by Plastic Recycling Amsterdam and other sources. After sorting the flakes by colour and purifying them further, PET-flakes are compounded into transparent and coloured granules according to customer requirements. These high-purity products are used as raw materials for a range of plastic items.
